Dear friends,

I would like to thank you for your support, hard work, and encouragement over the past ten months. We fought a long, hard campaign focused on the issues facing Louisiana agriculture, and what we can do to move this department and our state forward.

I am proud to tell you we are victorious!

With Commissioner Odom's departure from the race this afternoon, I am pleased and honored to be your next Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry. I will serve the people of Louisiana with integrity and humility as we work to return this department to its core mission: to protect, promote, and advance agriculture in Louisiana.

We must understand that our battle has only begun. In the coming weeks, months, and years, we must redouble our efforts to fight for positive change, bring opportunity to our farmers and rural communities, and lead the way for Louisiana agriculture and forestry into the next generation.

Again, I thank you for your commitment to our cause, I am humbled by your continued support, and I am proud to serve as your next Commissioner of Agriculture and Forestry.
