THE GOOD DOCTOR SAYS “THANK YOU”
First of all, thank you for your prayers and support for our campaign. Because of you, the message of change and reform is spreading all around this state. Everywhere the Strain train rolls, citizens are telling us, “thank you for running for this office…your honesty and commitment to service is refreshing.” If you want to find out more about our campaign, get involved, donate, or receive a bumper sticker, please visit our website www.mikestrain.org.

DOWN COMES THE REIGN
He may have his name plastered on every filling station pump, but Bob Odom is running out of gas. His nearly 30-year tyranny in office is wearing thin with an ever-increasingly conservative electorate. Commissioner Bob Odom is having a tough time gathering support, momentum, and the financial resources it takes to run a campaign!  Statewide polling shows Odom's re-elect numbers lower than Gov. Kathleen Blanco.  She had the good sense to not seek re-election. Odom?
THE REFORM TEAM: SENATOR VITTER AND REP. MIKE STRAIN
In case you missed it, Senator David Vitter has joined the Mike Strain campaign because he agrees with Mike's agenda for reforming the Dept of Ag & Forestry and he knows that Mike will bring integrity to the office. Senator Vitter is hosting a major fundraiser on Mike’s behalf in Baton Rouge. Right now, we have over $400,000 cash on hand and we are growing stronger every day!

BUILDING THE STATEWIDE INFRASTRUCTURE TO WIN
Over the past three months of traveling across the state and campaigning, we've visited and shared our vision of reform to over 10,000 people. We've passed out thousands of push cards and signed up nearly as many volunteers. Everywhere we go our message is being heard and spread with strong support and enthusiasm!

A few weeks ago, we received the St. Tammany Parish PEC endorsement then attended a standing room only Cochon de Lait in Jefferson Parish where Mike was received with loud cheers and open arms. We've had the privilege to meet with organizations such as the Veterinary Medical Association, Louisiana Federation of Republican Women, the CENLA GOPAC, the UL- LSU College and Young Republicans, and attend the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival, the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival and many more…

STRAIN IS SERVING and PROTECTING THE PUBLIC
Right now Mike is serving in the current 2007 Legislative Session. One of his bills of reform is House Bill 903 which revises certain individual income tax brackets that were changed as a result of the "Stelly Plan" to place them back to pre-Stelly Plan levels. The bill also provides for the deductibility of excess federal itemized deductions from individual income taxes.

JOIN THE STRAIN CAMPAIGN NOW!
Today, more than ever, is the day to get involved and there are so many ways you can.
